creamy dreamy hummus
Making your own hummus means no preservatives, additives, seed oils and artificial flavours.
Its super easy, saves you money and you can adapt the recipe to your taste buds. not to mention is so delicious!
Here is my go to base recipe I like to make. I simplify the steps by just throwing everything into a high speed blender because we all like a hassle free recipe!
from the finished product, I take part of the batch to flavour it further so it can be used as a sauce, dip or dressing for other meals.

INGREDIENTS
1 can Organic Chickpeas
¼ cup Lemon juice
1 clove Garlic
½ tsp Sea salt
½ cup Tahini
4 Tbsn Ice water & a bit more as needed
1 Tbsn Cold pressed olive oil
METHOD
1. Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
Note:
Keep the hummus at a thick consistency if you plan to use this to adapt to other flavours. The reason being that when you add other ingredients that have a bit of moisture to them, this will loosen the hummus. At this point you can choose to add more water if you want a runnier consistency.
This hummus can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days in an air-tight container.
